basar sawaswathi temple is situated in a village called basar,nizamabad.basar is a village on the banks of the river.it is a census town of adilabad district in the state of andhra pradesh.the village is about 50km from nizamabad.

From nizamabad district there is bus and train facility.andhra pradesh capital city hyderabad from here there is bus,train facility.from hyderabad till nizamabad can go in bus and from there we can reach basara by basara buses going from there.or else from hyderabad there is a nandade train .in that we can drop down in basara in middle.

The temple is among the 2nd famous saraswathi temples in india.it is dedicated to goddess saraswathi,the goddess of knowledge and learning.a number of legends are associated with the saraswathi temple,basar. Lengends state that after mahabharatam war,maharishi vyasa and his disciples embarked on a pilgrimage.he decided to settle down in a cool and serene atmosphere.he reached the kumaranchala hills on the banks of the godavari.here he meditated by preparing three small heaps as image of saraswathi,goddesslaxmi and goddess kali with his mystic powder.it is said that saraswathi appeared before him and granted blessings.saraswathi is the consort of lord brahma and the goddess of wisdom and knowledge.it is believed that poet valmiki installed saraswathi and wrote ramayana here.there is a marble image of valmiki and his sam?dhi near the temple.other legends related to basar saraswathi temple reflect the belief that this temple one of the three temples constructed near the confluence of the manjira and godavari rivers by ashtrakutas.historical lore proceeds with the view that,a king of karnataka,bijialudu ruled the province of nandagiri with nandedas capital in the sixth century.he was the person to have constructed the temple at basara.

Firstly the place to be seen is godavari.do bathe in the godavari and seek the blessings of the goddess saraswathi.After that valmiki den park to be seen.there is a place to be seen 2km far away from the temple,named basanlla banda.here there is a stone if we beat the stone with another stone there comes a sound of vessels.there are vessels used by saraswathi devi in this stone.that’s the reason sound will come and known as basanlla banda.here saraswathi devi in the main temples changes color in morning,afternoon and evening.it looks different color in different times. basara is a place which offers accommodation at various rates. basar sawaswathi temple also habits own accommodation arrangements which can be reserved by writing a letter to the temple authority.in addition to that a demanddraft enclosed with the amounts of Ac or non Ac rooms according to one’s choice should also reach the gnana saraswathi devi devastahnam.the village also have residing places that include yatri nivas deluxe cottages,nilangekar guest house,ttd guest house and various other chouitries are available at basara.

So many years ago one marvaadi going in the car, in this place car was repaired .in this place he had slept under the tree. Then Sri Sai came into his dreams and told built the temple of me here. On his hands it was build this is only Madhavanagar sai temple.

Clean and peaceful sai temple, dunni, Samadhi mandir are present here. A big god Shiva’s idol, navagraha temple also here. Here people celebrate every good functions and it is possible to celebrate. And also it is the place to visit for holiday also.
